"You can truly hear the journey I've been on the past 3 years writing, playing, recording and producing this record during the most trying period of my life.
After multiple emergency hospital stays this year alone, 5 years of pain, many surgeries and struggles, I kept grinding away at this record any spare moment I had until I could finally fund my father's recovery, and in doing so, found a renewed strength within myself whilst completing this record.
This is a concept record that entwines the legendary Bioshock lore with my own real world experiences. It follows the story of Project IO, one of the first alpha series Big Daddy's forcibly enlisted into experimental gene-splicing and mind-control procedures, one of many, but one of the three who actually survived these procedures; as slave labour to initially uphold the structural integrity of the underwater city he'd discovered. 
Set in the underwater city of Rapture during the riots of the 1959 civil war, Subject IO collaborates with Rapture's top scientist Dr Brigid Tennenbaum who develops a cure known as the Antidote Plasmid ('Lot 192' from sea slug stem cells) to undo the mental conditioning and experimental gene-splicing forced upon him, restoring his humanity and free will. 
After promptly enacting his vengeance on the elitists who sought to subjugate and enslave him to do their bidding, he gathers all the remaining orphaned children left in the city (now the living and enslaved producers of the drug known as ADAM, created from the same sea slug stem cells) whilst using Lot 192, the antidote plasmid, to restore each of them to their human state and eliminate their dependance on the drug as well as reverse the deformed mutations to the human genome of its users which had resulted from over-use of the drug itself, due to its addictive qualities.
As the years passed, and with all of the guilty perpetrators hunted down in the following decade, he discovers all the secrets the elitists had hidden on further bio-technical inventions, horrific corruption, mass public executions, gross tyrannical methods of controlling the populous with pheromones, the abduction of children from their families both within the underwater city of Rapture and above ground on the surface world, even raiding orphanages for children to be sold off, enslaved and mentally conditioned to extract the drug ADAM from the corpses of deceased addicts scattered around the crumbling city to be distributed/traded or sold to still living addicts.
Whilst the final remnants of the city collapses around them, they manipulate and reverse engineer the remaining functioning Vita-Pod life support machines to tap into multi-dimensional 'doorways', alternate versions of the same timeline they had suffered through, which provides them with a second chance to regain the years they'd lost under the waves, and learn to live again. Finally free.

My goal on this album was to create a dark and immersive audio landscape for the listener with a consistent storyline that evolves throughout the record's duration, with every song; a record that feels like you're transported to a completely different time and place to your current surroundings, simply by closing your eyes and listening to it from front to back.
A true passion project that I've finally realised with the incredible support of my work from the fans in so many ways, you've allowed me to accomplish two things I deemed impossible to achieve at many times these past few years. 
And as such, I have to take a moment to say that I simply cannot thank you all enough, you have my deepest gratitude and appreciation, always.
Enjoy this record in all its beautiful darkness, chaotic unpredictability, sadness, power and extremity, and I hope you find the same strength that I found within yourself from every song on Chapters I-III.
